When the Doctor mistakenly materialised the TARDIS in a Russian submarine
under the North Pole in 1983, the captain and his crew were suspicious of the
ship’s new visitors. After the appearance of Ice Warrior Skaldak Zhukov still did not trust the Doctor fully, disallowing him access to the captured
alien.
